Mixed Reality in Education

Interaction Design Exhibition 2015

Experience the Future Classroom

The modern knowledge society provide many challenges for education. A constant demand on both students and institutions to adapt and assimilate new knowledge call for novel solutions utilizing emerging technology. Mixed reality technology, spanning virtual and augmented reality as well as tangible interaction, is quickly developing to make widespread use in education increasingly feasible.

For example, this can enable personalized learning environments or (partially) virtual environments that may support a transition from ‘studying’ to ‘experiencing’ and facilitate engaging and effective learning. The ambition of this project course is to show that Interaction Design can play an important role in the innovation process, design work and implementation of new systems in this context.
