the project.

What

Twister with a twist is a multiplayer game where the purpose is to touch as many of the lightened circles as possible. In each round of the game, the players get 10 seconds to touch as many circles they can reach and not let go of them until the next round.

Who

Twister with a twist is designed to fit as a cell at the entertainment center Prison Island. Therefore this game is perfect for a group of friends, families or co-workers. The minimum age for a group of kids is 10.

Why

The purpose of the game is not only to have a good time, but also to encourage teamwork and collaboration. The game requires the players to communicate and work together in order to proceed in the game.

the game.

The game is just like the classic Twister game, except the whole room is now the game field. All over the room, there are circles in the classic twister-colors. During the rounds of the game, some of the circles will light up. The goal of the game is for the players to reach as many of lighten circles they can reach, and hold on til the time of the round has run out and the next one starts. In the next round, some of the previous lighten circles will turn off, and some new ones will be lightened. As the players proceed through the game, the time of the rounds will become shorter and shorter.

the prototype.

The prototype of the game consists of a floor and a wall, made out of two boards. On both the wall and the floor, there are a total of 23 circles, which can all light up. In each circle, there are six holes around the edges, with a led-strip attached on the back, that light troughs when a circle is active. The light of the circles is powered by Arduino Uno. A screen that displays the timer for the rounds and the score is placed next to the prototype.
